Conference objectives

The International Congress on Aromatic and Medicinal Plants (CIPAM 2012) is jointly organized by the laboratory of plant biodiversity: conservation and valorization (University Djillali Liabes of Sidi Bel Abbes, Algeria) and the REMAPAM (Euro-Maghreb Network on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants). The CIPAM 2012 is a scientific meeting aimed to the research and valorization of aromatic and medicinal plants. The Congress of multidisciplinary nature is addressed to researchers, industrials, producers and herbalists to offer an international platform for exchange and diffusion of the recent scientific work on PAM.

The main objectives are to:

• Provide many opportunities for participants to share their experiences and to develop contacts and partnerships in order to set up common strategies in relation with PAM.
• Encourage the culture, the production, the transformation and the conservation of PAM.
• Highlight The socio-economic medicinal and environmental importance of PAM on a regional, national and international scale.
