Abstract:
This edition contains a collection of research papers prepared by colleagues and students of Prof. Abdel Hamid Hajyat on the occasion of his eighty-eighth birthday. He has spent four and fifty years starting his continuous research at the Algerian University in research, teaching and knowledge. Professor Hajiyat carried through the stages of his life the burden of studying the history, writing and teaching of Algeria, its means of research and investigation, its purpose of truth and knowledge in a framework of objectivity and methodology.
His writings, which put the essence of his thought and experience rich and inexhaustible, and a source that must be taught to our Arab Islamic history in general and Algerian in particular to refer to it. He studied the history of the Islamic Maghreb with a comprehensive vision, a creative mind and a solid interpretation, culminating in a high-level creation that everyone who had the privilege of dealing with.

الملخص:
يحتوي هذا العدد بين دفتيه على مجموعة من الأبحاث أعدها زملاء و تلامذة الأستاذ الدكتور عبد الحميد حاجيات بمناسبة بلوغه الثامنة و الثمانين، ومضي أربعة و خمسين عاما على بدء عطائه المتواصل في الجامعة الجزائرية بحثا، و تدريسا، و علما. لقد حمل الأستاذ حاجيات عبر مراحل حياته عبء دراسة تاريخ الجزائر و كتابته و تدريسه، وسيلته البحث و الإستقصا ، وغايته الحقيقة و المعرفة في اطار من الموضوعية و المنهجية.
كانت كتاباته التي وضع فيها خلاصة فكره و تجربته الغنية معينا لا ينضب و مصدرا لا بد لدارس تاريخنا العربي الإسلامي عامة و الجزائري خاصة من الرجوع إليه. درس تاريخ المغرب الإسلامي برؤية شاملة وفكر مبدع و استقراء رصين، متوجا ذلك بخلق رفيع يدركه كل من كان له حظوة التعامل معه.
