Abstract:

   The important geographical location of the Arab Maghreb and the establishment of the Phoenicians of the Saharan commercial corridors into an African heart, as well as its emergence as a trade pole in the Mediterranean basin, played a major role in making it replace the ambitions of many colonial powers before the advent of Islam. Hence the question: Does the presence of the Mediterranean empires in the Maghreb represent a supply or a threat to the security of the Arab Maghreb?

لقد كان للموقع الجغرافي الهام الذي يحتله المغرب العربي وإرساء الفينيقيين للممرات التجارية الصحراوية إلى قلب إفريقية، إضافة إلى بروزه قطبا تجاريا في الحوض المتوسط، الدور الكبير في جعله محل أطماع العديد من القوى الاستعمارية قبل ظهور الإسلام. ومن هنا نطرح التساؤل التالي: هل مثل تواجد الامبراطوريات المتوسطية بالمغرب العربي إمدادا أم تهديدا لأمن المغرب العربي؟
