“Methodology of translation in Algeria.”

Abstract:

The linguistic situation in Algeria is characterized by a French bilingualism that is deeply rooted in history and has been marked by different teaching practices according to historical periods and by a policy of Arabization since 1970. It is within this framework that is the training of the translators in Algeria as it emerges from the courses, the methodology adopted and the representations that are made teachers and learners of their respective status.

Methodology

Since no overall theory of translation has been completed to date, it is the studies carried out in linguistics of stylistics of poetics of communication and translation which will bring the instruments of analysis to translation.

For the teacher there are no recipes in translation: to translate is to ask before and undeniably the general principle of respect of the message at different levels:

- quantitative level: respect for the sum of information contained in this message and which the author wishes to transmit

- fidelity to style: respect for rhythm and melody;

- fidelity to meaning, which presupposes.

La Situation linguistique en Algérie se caractérise par un bilinguisme arabe français bien enraciné dans l’histoire a été marquée par des pratiques d’enseignement différentes selon les périodes historiques et par une politique d’arabisation à partir de 1970. C’est dans ce cadre que s’inscrit la formation des traducteurs en Algérie telle qu’elle se dégage des cursus, de la méthodologie adoptée et des représentations que se font enseignants et apprenants de leur statut respectif.   

La méthodologie

Aucune théorie d’ensemble de la traduction n’ayant été à ce jour ‘’achevée’’ ce sont les études effectuées en matière de linguistique de stylistique de poétique  de communication et de traduction qui vont apporter les instruments d’analyse à la traduction.

Pour l’enseignant il n’existe pas de recettes en traduction : traduire, c’est poser préalablement et indéniablement le principe général du respect du message à différents niveaux :

-           niveau quantitatif : respect de la somme d’informations contenue dans ce message et que l’auteur veut effectivement transmettre

-           fidélité au style : respect du rythme et de la mélodie ;

-           fidélité au sens ce qui présuppose :
