Faculty Presentation

  1. The Faculty of Life and Natural Sciences is one of the nine major faculties at Djillali Liabes University in Sidi Bel Abbès. Its academic mission plays a crucial role in the development of individuals and society as a whole. The faculty aims to prepare scientifically and research-oriented professionals capable of understanding natural phenomena and living organisms through both theoretical and applied studies.

    Students are trained to observe, develop experimental hypotheses, and draw conclusions, while being encouraged to innovate and contribute to technological advancement. The faculty emphasizes the connection between humans and their environment, promoting the preservation of natural resources and preparing the scientific workforce of the future.

    The faculty was established by Executive Decree No. 12-272 dated June 28, 2012, and includes:

    Five (05) scientific research laboratories:

    • Laboratory of Plant Diversity

    • Laboratory of Nutrition and Health in Pathology and Agricultural Biotechnology

    • Laboratory of Environmental and Spatial Development

    • Laboratory of Biotoxicology

    • Laboratory of Molecular Health Microbiology and Protein Studies

    Three (03) scientific clubs:

    • Bio for Life

    • MYCOMINDS
