Proud Participation in Hiking Activity and Major Tree-Planting Campaign
We are proud to highlight the participation of student “Zeidi Hicham Abdelssamad”, representing the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences (Djillali Liabès University – Sidi Bel Abbès), in the mountain hiking activity and the major tree-planting campaign held in the beautiful “El Meddad” Forest, located within the Théniet El Had National Park, in Tissemsilt province.
This participation reflects our commitment to raising environmental awareness and supporting ecological initiatives aimed at protecting nature, preserving forests, and encouraging environmental volunteering.
Congratulations to our student for this honorable representation.
Tree Planting Campaign at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences
As part of its environmental initiatives, the Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities Department, in coordination with the scientific clubs MicroMinds and Hasomie, organized a tree planting campaign at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences.
Students took part in planting several trees to enhance green spaces and promote a culture of environmental responsibility and volunteer work within the university community. 🌱
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to build a more sustainable university environment and encourage students to actively engage in activities with a positive impact.
✨ Special thanks to all the participating students and everyone who contributed to the success of this meaningful green initiative.
Solidarity Visit to Cancer Patients: A Humanitarian Initiative by MycoMinds Club in Coordination with HaSomie Club
As part of humanitarian and volunteer work, MycoMinds Club, in coordination with HaSomie Club, paid a visit to cancer patients. Donations and supportive initiatives were provided as a sincere expression of solidarity and compassion.
We pray for the speedy recovery of every patient, asking Allah to grant them health and wellness, and to make this hardship a means of raising their ranks and forgiving their sins, while granting them strength, patience, and peace of mind.
May compassion always remain in our hearts, and may we continue to be guided toward doing good and serving our community.

Call for Nominations for the UNESCO / Juan Bosch Award 2026
📢 The Algerian National Committee announces the opening of nominations for the UNESCO / Juan Bosch Award 2026, aimed at promoting research in social sciences and humanities in Latin America and the Caribbean, and honoring young researchers contributing to developmental social policies.
🔹 Award Value: USD 12,000 funded by the Government of the Dominican Republic, awarded to the author(s) of the best thesis.
🔹 Eligibility:
- Candidates must be under 40 years old;
- Research must relate to positive social transformations in the region;
- A written recommendation highlighting the candidate’s achievements and contributions to social transformations in Latin America and the Caribbean must be included.
⏰ Deadline for submission: February 15, 2026
📩 Note: Nominations must be submitted through the Algerian National Committee only. Direct submissions by individuals are not accepted.
