Application Cycle for the Unitwin/UNESCO Chairs Programme 2025
Djillali Liabes University is pleased to inform you that the online portal for the 2025 cycle will be available between February and April 2025 for applications from host institutions and for validation by National Commissions.
The application deadline is April 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (Paris time).
Please note that only complete applications accompanied by the required letters of support will be considered. For more information, please consult the attached guidelines and the Programme website: UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks | UNESCO. As a reminder, the proposed Chair or Network must meet all the required criteria described in the Programme guidelines. National Commissions are encouraged to prioritize interdisciplinary proposals that include forward-looking approaches and address gender equality.
Additionally, applications should demonstrate efforts to make research and educational materials openly and freely available, in line with UNESCO’s Open Access Policy, the 2019 Recommendation on Open Educational Resources, and the 2021 Recommendation on Open Science. As applications are developed, National Commissions are encouraged to facilitate discussions between applicant institutions and UNESCO teams well in advance of the application deadline to ensure closer synergies with the Organization and ongoing activities.
