Call for applications / Reserve list of research assistants at the CDI
The United Nations International Law Commission (ILC) is launching a call for applications, including the application form, to establish a reserve list of research assistants in public international law.
As part of the required qualifications, candidates must hold a PhD in public international law or a Master’s degree with at least two years of professional experience in public international law. Fluency in English, French, or Spanish is required (written/oral). Knowledge of another official UN language, particularly Arabic, is an asset. The application form (UN P.11) must be duly completed by the candidate and sent with the relevant documents (CV, samples of academic publications, and a cover letter) to the UN Office of Legal Affairs at: ola-codification@un.org, no later than April 15, 2025.
Selected candidates will be placed on a three-year roster and may be called upon as needed by the ILC.
Applications will be reviewed three times a year: April 15, June 15, and August 15. Remuneration will be based on the United Nations Rules for Consultants (ST/AI/2013/4).
