Faculty Council
The Faculty Council is a consultative body composed of elected members and appointed members, in accordance with Article 36 of the Official Gazette of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria (Issue No. 51). This body is established at the level of the Faculty Dean’s Office. Its purpose is to provide opinions and recommendations for the development of the faculty and to participate in the preparation and implementation of the budget, as well as all activities related to the faculty. The Council meets in four (4) regular sessions per year.
Duties of the Faculty Council
Defining prospects for the development of the faculty.
Planning training and research activities within the faculty and exploring prospects for national and international scientific cooperation.
Planning continuing education activities, skills improvement, and knowledge renewal.
Examining the draft faculty budget and the annual report on faculty activities.
Preparing the draft human resources management plan for the faculty.
Examining draft contracts and agreements related to studies, expertise, and service provision ensured by the faculty.
Managing the faculty and examining the annual report on its activities.
Ensuring the implementation of rules related to student attendance and the system of classes and lectures.
Identifying the faculty’s needs in terms of teaching staff and administrative personnel.
Identifying the faculty’s needs in terms of equipment and other operational supplies and defining their specifications.
