Closing of the Start-up Training Program (Decree 1275)

The Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences at Djilali Liabès University in Sidi Bel Abbès has concluded the Start-up Training Program (Decree 1275) dedicated to innovative students.

The three-day program provided high-quality mentoring and academic guidance, structured as follows:

Day 1: Solution engineering through Design Thinking methodology.
Day 2: Strategy development and Business Model Canvas (BMC) design.
Day 3: Bringing ideas to life through a prototyping workshop.

Launch of the Training Program (Decision 1275) – Academic Year 2025/2026

The Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences at Djillali Liabès University – Sidi Bel Abbès officially launched, on Sunday March 1st, 2026, the training program under Decision 1275, dedicated to supporting student start-up projects for the academic year 2025/2026.

Supervised by academic instructors, the program aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurial culture among students.

Launch of the Call for Applications – 4th Edition of the UNESCO-Russia Mendeleev International Prize in Basic Sciences

In the framework of promoting scientific excellence and strengthening research in basic sciences, the academic and research community is hereby informed of the launch of the call for applications for the 4th edition of the UNESCO-Russia Mendeleev International Prize in Basic Sciences, established in 2019 by the Executive Board of UNESCO.

The Prize aims to recognize outstanding achievements in the following fields:

  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • Biology

It also honors significant contributions to scientific development, knowledge dissemination, and international cooperation in basic sciences.

Two (02) laureates will be awarded, each receiving USD 250,000.

Women scientists are strongly encouraged to apply.
