Announcement of the 2nd Edition of the President of the Republic’s Prize for Innovative Researchers

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the opening of applications for the 2nd edition of the President of the Republic’s Prize for Innovative Researchers.

Under the slogan: “We innovate today… to build tomorrow’s Algeria”.

The prize is open to: University professors and researchers, Permanent researchers, University students, who have carried out innovative projects combining authenticity, scientific and economic impact.

Prize objectives:
To encourage scientific research, technological development and innovation in order to support the knowledge economy and transform research results into solutions that serve national development.

Eligible fields :

1. Science and Technology
2. Health Sciences
3. Environment and Sustainable Development
4. Humanities and Social Sciences
5. Cybersecurity and Information Safety
6. Food Security
7. Water Security
8. Energy Security

Prizes:

• 1st prize: 5,000,000 DZD
• 2nd prize: 3,000,000 DZD
• 3rd prize: 2,000,000 DZD

Key dates:

• Digital registration platform opens: November 16, 2025
• Application deadline: January 16, 2026 (midnight)
• Results announcement and award ceremony: April 16, 2026
