Closing of the football tournament at Djilali Liabès University on November 1, 2025

Under the patronage of the University Director, Professor Bouziani Merahi, and in the presence of the university vice-directors, faculty deans, department heads, vice-deans, and a distinguished group of professors, the football tournament organized by the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities concluded on the evening of November 1, 2025.

The closing ceremony, which featured the final match between the Faculty of Exact Sciences and the Faculty of Letters, Languages, and Arts, began with the national anthem. In his speech on this occasion, the University Director welcomed the finalist teams and praised all participating teams for their high sportsmanship.

Professor Bouziani Merahi used this precious national occasion, coinciding with the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Liberation Revolution under the slogan “Message of the Generations,” to emphasize the pivotal role of sports in strengthening fraternal bonds and enhancing relationships among members of the university community.

After the Director signaled the start of the match, which took place in a well-organized atmosphere, the audience witnessed an exciting game that ended with the Faculty of Exact Sciences defeating the Faculty of Letters, Languages, and Arts in a penalty shootout.

In conclusion, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of this sports tournament, and we commend all participants for the excellence they demonstrated with a remarkable spirit of fraternity and cooperation.
