Intellectual Ramadan Evening with Professor Hafid Aouragh on the Concept of Time at the University of Sidi Bel Abbès

As part of the “Ramadan Scientific Nights” series, the University of Djillali Liabès witnessed a remarkable scientific event on the evening of February 26, 2026. The lecture hall of the Faculty of Languages, Letters, and Arts hosted a valuable lecture delivered by Professor Hafid Aouragh, entitled: “Time Visits Our Evening: Does Time Create Movement, or Does Movement Create Time?”

The lecture provided a deep intellectual space for discussion and contemplation, as Professor Aouragh explored the philosophical and scientific dimensions of the concept of time. He opened the door to questioning the dialectical relationship between time and movement, in a presentation that combined academic vision with contemplative depth.

On this occasion, Professor Aouragh was honored in recognition of his scientific contributions and efforts in developing scientific research in Algeria. The ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University, Professor Bouziani Merahi, as well as the Chief of Staff of the Wali of Sidi Bel Abbès Province, the President of the People’s Provincial Assembly, and the Member of the Council of the Nation.
