
Call for nominations for the 2026 UNESCO/Juan Bosch Prize
UNESCO award nominations
The UNESCO/Juan Bosch Prize 2026 aims to promote research in the humanities and social sciences in Latin America and the Caribbean, and to present candidates for the prize which honors young researchers in the field of social development policies.
– This prize, funded by the government of the Dominican Republic, is worth US$12,000 and is awarded to the author or authors of the best dissertation;
– Eligible researchers must be under 40 years of age;
– Submitted research must be related to positive social transformations in the region;
Each nomination file includes a written recommendation that presents the candidate’s career path, achievements, and work that demonstrates their contribution to social transformations in Latin America and the Caribbean;
UNESCO award nomination prize are submitted through the Algerian National Commission, which is responsible for delivering them to the Commission by February 15, 2026. Nominations submitted directly by individual candidates are not accepted.
