The holding of the regional forum AGERIA DISTRUPT at Djillali Liabes University

As part of the national dynamic aimed at strengthening the culture of innovation and the knowledge economy, Djillali Liabes University in Sidi Bel Abbès hosted, on Thursday, February 12, 2026, the activities of the regional forum “Algeria Disrupt” at the Mechab Mustapha lecture hall.

The event was attended by the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups, and Micro-enterprises, the Wali of Sidi Bel Abbès Province, the President of the Provincial People’s Assembly, the Rector of the university, as well as local authorities and representatives of national bodies supporting entrepreneurship such as Algeria Venture, ANADE, NESDA, ANGEM, in addition to professors, researchers, and students with innovative projects and ideas.

During the forum, detailed explanations were provided by the central directors of the ministry on the support, accompaniment, and financing mechanisms available to students and project holders. Successful experiences of young entrepreneurs were also presented, in an open space for dialogue and interaction.

On this occasion, the university reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the innovation environment through its business incubators and entrepreneurship development centers, as well as connecting scientific research to the economic fabric, with the aim of creating local and national added value and strengthening the university’s role as a key player in economic and social development.

This forum constitutes a key milestone for strengthening partnerships, exchanging expertise, and encouraging students to transform their ideas into innovative projects contributing to the building of a national economy based on knowledge and innovation.
