Djillali Liabes University Board of Directors Meeting: Discussion on Supporting Startups and Transforming “FILAGRO SBA” Subsidiary into a Joint Stock Company
The Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at Djillali Liabes University of Sidi Bel Abbès hosted, on April 19, 2026, the proceedings of the national symposium entitled: “Contribution of Digitalization to Achieving Quality in Higher Education and Scientific Research Institutions: Towards an Innovative and Developed Future”, organized in collaboration with the PRFU research team “Public Relations in the Context of Digital Transformations”.
On the occasion of Knowledge Day (April 16th), Djillali Liabes University of Sidi Bel Abbès hosted a Job Fair in partnership with ANEM, attended by university executives and official representatives. The event featured guidance workshops, sports activities, and ended with a recognition ceremony for the winners of the scientific competition organized by the Higher Teachers’ College.
The local steering committee for the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system met on March 4, 2026, at the Directorate of Djillali Liabès University (Sidi Bel Abbès), chaired by Professor Bouziani Merahi. The meeting focused on identifying the needs and expectations of interested parties (students, professors, administrative staff). Draft questionnaires were presented to assess their expectations and will be submitted to the steering committee for approval. The goal is to ensure an effective and participatory quality system, thereby strengthening the university’s quality approach.

Djillali Liabes University held a meeting of the Directorate Council on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, chaired by Professor Bouziani Merahi, Rector of the university. The meeting was dedicated to discussing several strategic axes, including: guiding students towards creating SMEs, preparations for doctoral competitions, the assessment of cultural and scientific activities, quality policy, the use of the High-Performance Computer (HPC) for scientific research, and strengthening university cooperation and short-term mobility. This meeting is part of the periodic monitoring aimed at improving institutional performance and consolidating a participatory approach.
